Representatives of the Russian authorities responded to the words of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who recently expressed the idea of possible exchange of Russian territories for Ukrainian during possible future negotiations. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova made a statement on her Telegram-channel, where she categorically rejected this opportunity.
Zakharova has questioned Zelensky's assumption, stating that such statements are only an attempt to divert attention from the real problems faced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She has also traditionally made accusations against the Ukrainian military who control some of the Kursk region, calling them "neo -Nazis". According to her, such statements of the President of Ukraine are an attempt to cover the "extent of the catastrophe" for the Ukrainian forces in this direction of the front.
Zakharova also noted that Russia does not consider such exchange of territories, and its position will remain unchanged.
