The Institute of War Study noted that Russia is likely to introduce a new tactic in its attacks on Ukraine, aimed at maximizing damage from blows. This requires the Ukrainian air defense to adapt to the new conditions, in particular to the ability to respond to rockets flying at extremely low altitudes.
The former representative of the Air Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuri Ignat, emphasized that the Russian forces have become more effective in improving their technologies and tactics, including the use of cruise and ballistic missiles at small altitudes, which complicates their interception in Ukrainian air defense.
Analysts warn that this new tactic can have serious consequences for Ukraine's infrastructure, and also requires a reinforcement of air defense measures provided by Western countries.
Experts have determined that Ukrainian air defense has so far demonstrated high efficiency in the destruction of some types of winged missiles, but Russia's new tactical solutions require rapid adaptation and increased combat readiness from Ukraine.
It is noted that Russia is trying to effectively use its technological advantage for maximum damage, while reducing the time of the reaction of the Ukrainian air defense, which indicates the need to strengthen Ukraine's international support in response to these threats.
