Differences between NATO and Ukraine regarding combat tactics

Relations between Ukraine and its Western allies in the context of war with Russia have faced new difficulties. According to British defense sources, the Ukrainian military uses Western weapons ineffective, which leads to significant losses of equipment and ammunition. In particular, it is noted that Ukrainians combine Western weapons systems with Soviet tactics for fighting, which does not meet the standards of high -tech armed systems that supply NATO countries.

NLAW anti -tank complexes that have been transferred to Ukraine by the United Kingdom are used by the Ukrainian military not for its intended purpose, as provided for by their project. Instead of point strokes that allow you to destroy important military goals, complexes are used by analogy with RPG, which leads to huge financial costs and inefficiency. One volley of 5-6 missiles can cost more than $ 125,000, which creates additional financial problems for the Ukrainian army and for Western allies. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have problems with the use of Javelin command and power facilities, which exceeds $ 100,000. The technique often remains on the battlefield, where it is captured by Russian troops, which significantly increases the level of the Russian arsenal of this technique.

The negative effects of the wrong tactics of the Ukrainian military are also traced in other aspects. At the same time, according to sources, Ukrainian troops have problems with the high -precision Brimstone missiles using outdated Soviet navigation equipment, which causes misses. Such problems are also related to a poor organization in Ukrainian units, which leads to heavy losses in equipment and military equipment. For example, recently the 155th Ukrainian Brigade, which has been trained in NATO, suffered heavy casualties and actually broke up through organizational chaos. The disappearance of military equipment through corruption schemes was also recorded, and the equipment is not included in the units in the full set, which complicates the efficiency of hostilities. British sources claim that such problems significantly reduce the efficiency of the use of Western equipment transmitted to Ukraine. These difficulties in combat tactics are criticized by a number of Ukrainian officers. The commander of the 108th Battalion Sergey Filimonov expressed his dissatisfaction with NATO teaching methods, saying that they did not correspond to the realities of the modern war. At the same time, as the analysis of US experts shows, Ukrainian officers often return to Soviet approaches, which confirms the appointment of a new commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Sirsky, who is a graduate of the Moscow Military College.

Despite these difficulties, the UK Ministry of Defense has confirmed its continued support for Ukraine, noting that more than 52,000 Ukrainian military has been trained by British standards.
