In the Kharkiv region, the possibility of announcing a forced evacuation from the city of Kupyansk due to danger to the civilian population and hindrance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the contact line is being considered. Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, announced this at a briefing on November 23.
Sinegubov indicated that the possibility of expanding the list of settlements where forced evacuation may take place is being considered. One of the cities considered for this event is Kupyansk or its separate parts.
"This is the Kupyan direction. Kupyansk itself, maybe some part of it, the neighboring part and beyond, because the presence of the local population there frankly interferes with our military. Therefore, it is not only the safety of people, which is in the first place for us, but it is also a strategic direction for the defense of our borders," he said.
According to Synegubov, as of November 23, 294 children were evacuated from the frontline communities, and 4 more are planned to be evacuated in the near future.
We remind you that for evacuation you can contact the United Humanitarian Coordination Center at the number: 0800339291. Calls are free and are accepted 24 hours a day.
