NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the future of European and global security depends directly on the outcome of the war in Ukraine. In order to achieve a sustainable peace, he urged the Allies to increase military assistance to Kiev.
Rutte noted that Russia enhances destabilization against NATO countries, including attacks on the Internet cable, attempts attempts and sabotage acts. Nevertheless, he stressed that NATO is not in a state of war with Russia, but is also "not in peace."
Rutte emphasized the need to strengthen the defense industry in the European Union and urged NATO to avoid barriers between allies for more efficient cooperation. He also expressed concern for growing security in Europe and called for joint efforts to stop the Kremlin's destructive plans.
The NATO Secretary General has announced the first summit of the Baltic Sea of the Baltic Sea, which should take place in the Finland capital-Helsinki. The event is intended to unite allies to strengthen regional security and coordinate actions.
