SBU declared suspicion Timati for speeches in occupied Crimea

The Security Service of Ukraine has announced the suspicion of the Russian rapper Timur Yunusov, known under the stage name Timati. This was reported by the SBU press service on June 13.

According to the investigation, Timati is actively involved in the Kremlin propaganda and publicly supports Russia's aggressive policy on Ukraine. He has repeatedly performed in the temporarily occupied Crimea, where he held at least seven propaganda concerts. Such measures, according to the SBU, were aimed at legitimizing the annexation of the peninsula and denial of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

In addition, Yunusov has repeatedly publicly demonstrated the support of the political regime in Russia. He was a trusted person of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the 2012, 2018 and 2024 elections, participated in the inaugurations and festive events organized in connection with Putin's "victory" in the elections.

The Security Service notes that the actions of the rapper pose a threat to the state interests of Ukraine. On the basis of the collected evidence, Timati was informed of the suspicion of the Article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for violation of the order of entry into the temporarily occupied territory for the purpose of causing harm to state interests, committed again.

Earlier, the SBU had already initiated cases against public persons of the Russian Federation who are in occupied Crimea or publicly support armed aggression against Ukraine.
