Fraudsters use the shopping center for attacks on Ukrainians

In Ukraine, fraudsters who are disguised as official letters from territorial centers of acquisition and social support (TCC) have intensified. People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Fedienko warned about a new wave of phishing attacks, in which fraudsters try to infect users with viruses.

In Telegram, Fedienko noted that letters, allegedly from the CCC, are coming to the e -mail addresses of Ukrainians. They often contain PDF files that can infect computers with harmful software when opened. The People's Deputy also added that letters coming from gov.ua are official and all others should be deleted. Oleksandr Fedienko explained that postal messages containing suspicious domains, such as "gmail.com", should be ignored immediately as they may be part of a phishing attack. "Phishing as a type of fraud is constantly looking for new ways of deception using sensitive topics that cause panic in society," he said in his message.

In addition, Fedienko posted photos of a letter with TCK.KOValenko.gov.ua, which adds a harmful PDF file. According to the People's Deputy, the opening of such files is dangerous for computers and personal data of users. The incidents related to the CCC in Ukraine have also become known. In Pavlograd of the Dnipropetrovsk region, an explosion near one of the centers, which was injured by one person, broke out. In Rivne, during an explosion in the regional shopping center, one person was killed, six more were injured. In Piryatin of the Poltava region there was a tragedy when the serviceman of the Tax Code was shot at the gas station. According to the information of the Center for Combating Misinformation at NSDC, Russian special services are engaged in operations that led to explosions in the Tax Code. They are actively working on undermining the mobilization process in Ukraine and preparing information campaigns for mobilization discrediting.
