This can lead to iron deficiency and cause health problems, including anemia. Monica Bishoff advises not to drink coffee at least 30 minutes before or after a meal. If you want to enjoy coffee, it is best to do it a few hours after eating, to avoid a negative impact on the assimilation of important trace elements.
