In the face of constant attacks on the power system of Ukraine, the authorities begin a large -scale project to create energy -independent schools, which will be able to work up to 12 hours in a row without electricity even during blackouts. The deputy head of the Presidential Office Viktor Nikita in Telegram has informed about it.
According to him, Russia continues to strike civilian energy infrastructure, planning new attacks, so Ukraine should be ready for any crisis. The project involves the autonomization of support schools with solar panels, batteries and energy efficient equipment. This will allow students and local communities to stay in safe educational establishments even during electricity shutdowns.
Schools will become centers of community life - you can play sports, watch movies, listen to lectures and play development games by late evening. The project is implemented in three stages: the former will replace the usual lamps with energy -saving and install backup boilers for heating in bomb felt; the second - connect solar panels and batteries; On the third - they will equip the schools with everything you need for comfortable work with children during extracurricular time. Viktor Nikita stressed that this solution is based on the experience of already working energy -independent schools in the regions of Ukraine. The development of the project is entrusted to the regional administrations in order to complete the work in the autumn and winter, when the risk of shutdown of electricity is traditionally increasing.
Due to rocket strokes and drone attacks on energy infrastructure, the system operators are forced to introduce shutdown schedules, so a new initiative will help schools remain stability and safety islands for children and communities.
