A storm washed thousands of shoes onto a beach in Denmark

North Denmark was littered with thousands of pairs of boots that the Pia storm threw ashore. The incident was the result of the loss of 46 containers with goods during the bad weather that the ship of Maersk was beaten. The MayView ship, which went from Bremerhafen to Gdansk, was in a storm in the North Sea on December 22.

The coastal inspector Tosma Duraloo called the situation "madness", describing how thousands of shoes scattered all over the beaches. In addition to the shoes, which made up the bulk of the goods thrown out, medical equipment and small wheelbarrows were also detected.

The PIA storm also caused problems in the Netherlands, causing an increase in water levels and closing storm barriers for the second time in the country's history. The Maud cruise liner from Norway, which was running in the North Sea, also suffered damage during a PIA storm, which led to control problems.

In the United Kingdom, the British Airways Airlines canceled more than 20 flights on Christmas Eve.
