Sweden has made an important decision to support Ukraine in the field of air defense. The purchase of the latest anti-aircraft defense systems, in particular, portable anti-aircraft missile complexes of Robot 70 and Tridon MK2, allocated 1.2 billion Swedish crowns (about $ 65 million 714 thousand). This will increase the protection of both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the civilian population and infrastructure.
The Robot 70 is a portable anti-aircraft missile complex, developed by the Swedish company Bofors Defense (now Saab Bors Dynamics) in 1977. At the moment, there is a fifth generation of this system-RBS-70 NG, which was presented in 2011. The complex is able to effectively perform air defense tasks at a range of more than 9 km and up to 5000 m. The system is not only able to destroy air goals, but also to be used to combat terrestrial lightly armored objects due to the combat part of the rocket, which has both shrapnel and a fugas effect.
These new systems are an important step for Ukraine in the current military situation. They will significantly improve the capabilities of the Ukrainian army to reflect air attacks, and will allow to effectively protect strategic objects from possible attacks by the enemy. The transfer of such technologies within the framework of international cooperation with Sweden shows the strong support of Ukraine in the international arena. This decision is also evidence of how closely Ukraine cooperates with NATO countries, including Sweden, which is actively involved in security in the region.

Sweden actively supports Ukraine in the important issue of national security, and this step is part of the overall strategy of international assistance in combating aggression.
