The Swiss Federal Council approved a complete package of restrictive measures against Russia in accordance with the sanctions of the European Union, approved in December last year. This was reported by the press service of the country on Wednesday, February 12.
Earlier, Switzerland has already included 54 individuals and 30 legal entities. During the meeting of February 12, the Federal Council decided to take further measures within the 15th EU sanctions package against Russia.
In particular, sanctions provide for a ban on the recognition and enforcement of certain decisions of Russian courts concerning disputes between Russian and Swiss companies. This decision is aimed at protecting the rights of Swiss companies and preventing financial losses.
In addition, the amendments contain the continuation of exceptions that allow Swiss companies to withdraw investments from Russia in an orderly order.
