Sikorsky stated the position of the EU regarding negotiations with Moscow

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky said that European countries may soon be in high pressure aimed at reaching an agreement with Russia. He stressed that the European Union should not compromise that will allow Moscow to recover and strengthen its position.

Sikorsky emphasized that "smart Europe" will not agree to the surrender to Russia. Instead, it is necessary to maintain Ukraine's support without rigid time restrictions in order not to stimulate Russia to continue the war.

"Ukraine deserves peace, but it should be peace on fair conditions, not by concessions that only encourage Moscow to aggression. We must focus on improving Kiev's positions before any possible negotiations," he said.

Sikorsky pointed to a misconception about force balances:

  • Europe is stronger than Moscow believes.
  • Russia is much weaker than most Europeans think.

According to the Minister, these conclusions should become the basis for EU actions in the framework of Ukraine's support and pressure on Russia.
