Social network X introduces paid subscriptions for users

The social network X, owned by Ilon Mask, has launched new paid subscriptions for its users, providing them with additional functionality. About it reports Bloomberg.

Users can now choose between three subscription levels. The base level is available for 3 dollars per month and gives the opportunity to edit your posts and download longer videos.

The second level provides a monthly fee of $ 8 and provides users with a number of privileges, including a blue tick, the ability to participate in the distribution of income from advertising, as well as a reduced amount or complete lack of advertising in their news tapes. It is worth noting that users who are signed through iOS and Android platforms from Apple Inc. will pay more, which is a common practice.

After Ilon Musk purchased the company a year ago, the social network X moved from a model of advertising to paid subscriptions. According to a new analysis conducted by an independent researcher Travis Brown, from 950 thousand to 1.2 million people have now signed up for a premium service on the X network, paying $ 8 on a monthly basis. This indicates the growing popularity of a new user subscription model.
