Olaf Scholt, a German Chancellor, who will soon complete his cadence, intends to continue his political career, becoming a deputy of the Bundestag. This was confirmed by the German Government Switch Steffen Gebestrytit in his comment for Tagesspiegel on Thursday, May 1.
According to his statement, after the end of his term as Chancellor, Scholz plans to keep his mandate from the Potsdam district, where he won the early parliamentary elections in February. Thus, even after he has left the post of chancellor, Olaf Scholt will continue his political activity in parliament.
The plans to focus on work with citizens and work in their district. In addition, he confirmed that he did not intend to claim high positions in the supervisory boards of private companies, emphasizing that this is not his priority.
"Being the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany was the greatest honor in my life," Scholt said. Therefore, the politician stated that he did not plan to do business or look for other high positions after completing his political career.
Scholt also explained that he did not intend to return to the legal practice he left after he was elected to the Bundestag in 1998. This confirms his desire to continue to serve people through political activity, not through other areas.
Therefore, despite the fact that Scholz will leave the post of chancellor, he does not go from great politics, and his further work will focus on direct work with voters and support his political party.
