The dispute over the law on "foreign agents" in Georgia: the US urges not to override the veto of the president

Political confrontation in Georgia grew to a new level after the president of the country Salome Zurabishvili used her right to veto the law on "inaging". This law has become the object of severe criticism and mass protests that caused serious concern in the West, in particular in the United States.

According to her, in the White House I am glad to see that President Salome Zurabishvili defends the Euro -Atlantic future of Georgia, vetoing the law on "inaging".

"We urge members of the Parliament to show the same courage and not to veto it," said the representative of the US Presidential Administration.
