The person involved in the murder of the public figure Irina Farion, 18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko, has changed in the qualification of the crime. He is now suspected of a premeditated murder of a person related to the performance of public duty, on the grounds of national intolerance, as well as illegally handling weapons. The case file was sent to court.
According to police, the suspect became a participant in radical groups in messengers that promote the cult of violence, cruelty and racial, national and religious intolerance. In 2024 he joined a group related to the Russian neo -Nazi organization.
Irina Farion's personal dislike, caused by her active position to protect the Ukrainian language and culture, has become the main motive for the crime. The suspect was convinced that Farion by his actions splits folk unity, which led to his intent for her murder.
It was found that Zinchenko was carefully preparing for the crime, collecting confidential information about the place of residence and work of Farion, following her and developing a detailed plan of her murder. He also purchased a firearm to fulfill his intention.
