The United States is planning to restore the rate of military assistance to Ukraine, which has been blocking in the Congress of Aid for $ 60 billion. This was stated at a briefing on Wednesday, May 8, by a spokesman for US State Department Matthew Miller.
Answering the journalist's questions about the possibility of accelerating the supply of arms of the Armed Forces through the last massive Russian attack, Miller said: "We are working on other packages. I think you can expect that we will be back to the pace at which we were in financing."
He mentioned a recent package of $ 1 billion and noted that he could not make additional ads at the moment, but new packages will be. We will remind, on April 20, the House of Representatives of the US Congress voted in favor of a bill, which provides over $ 60 billion support for Ukraine. On April 24, the US Senate also supported this bill.
On the same day, US President Joe Biden signed the document and stated that the supply would start "immediately, within a few hours." He noted that this applies to ammunition for air defense systems, artillery, rocket systems and armored vehicles.
Representatives of the White House reported that a new help of assistance to Ukraine will be enough by the end of 2024.
