Pentagon plans to buy UAV with artificial intelligence to restrain China, - WSJ writes about it
The publication writes that the US Air Force intends to buy at least 1000 unmanned fighter jets that can act autonomously through artificial intelligence that will "help restrain China."
It is noted that small drones changed the battles at relatively short distances in Ukraine and some parts of the Middle East, but larger versions, equipped with jet engines, are seen as critical to overcome vast distances in the western Pacific.
"They can be a lot of things that traditional crew fighters are simply not calculated," said Air Force Minister Frank Kendall.
