The US can switch to “Land League” for Ukraine

Former US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker stated that in the event of Donald Trump's victory, the United States will not stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine in the presidential election, but will change the principle of financing.

On the air of Kyiv24, Volker noted that Trump against funding for military assistance to Ukraine at the expense of taxpayers, but does not object to the sale of weapons of Kiev.

Volker also noted that an alternative to direct financing may be a Land League Law, which will allow Ukraine to take a weapon with the ability to pay later. To date, Ukraine is still receiving assistance within the framework of the already approved package approved by Biden administration, which, according to Volker, will take a few more months.

At the same time, the media reported that the US is gradually restricting certain supply. In particular, WSJ wrote about the withdrawal of key technology for the fight against Shahheda, and The Telegraph - that the Trump team has a radically different vision of military assistance to Ukraine.
