The USA emphasizes the importance of lowering the mobilization age in Ukraine

US Presidential Advisor Jake Sullivan said Ukraine is faced with the need to resolve the issue of reducing the mobilization age of citizens to ensure the full completion of their crews and battalions. He told about it in an interview with Bloomberg, noting that he discussed this problem with the representatives of the Donald Trump team.

Sullivan recalled that Ukraine has already taken the first steps in this direction, reducing the age for call from 27 to 25 years. However, due to the increase in the need for living power in war, the country must make further decisions to attract young people to 25 years in the armed forces.

"In the last year, this issue has become even more acute. Ukraine needs the ability to fully complete our units, because we supply a huge number of ammunition and military equipment that they need," Sullivan said.

The White House Representative emphasized that the reduction of mobilization age is a sovereign decision of Ukraine. He also stressed that the current Presidential administration informed a new team about Ukraine's sharp need for live force.

"We have clearly stated that this issue is sharp, and Ukraine will have to solve it even when we continue to provide them with the necessary ammunition," Sullivan added.
