The commander in chief of the US Army in Europe, Chris Cavoli, gave Congress a list of military equipment that the United States already has in stock, but has not yet transferred to Ukraine. According to CNN, these weapons can significantly strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukraine in the fight against aggression from Russia.
According to the channel, it includes long-range JASSM missiles for the F-16, capable of hitting targets at a distance of 370 km, and the Link 16 data exchange network, which ensures uninterrupted communication between combat systems and is especially useful for command and control of anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense.
The list was presented to Congress early last month. It was included in a classified report on the Biden administration's strategy for Ukraine.
Cavoli's list does not explain why the US did not provide these systems. Source says JASSM won't benefit Ukraine unless it achieves air superiority, and Link 16 States don't want to give for fear of NATO technology falling into Russian hands.
