The US considers the possibility of building a large composition of pre -storage of weapons in the Arctic region of Europe in connection with the introduction of Finland and Sweden in NATO.
Lieutenant General Christopher Mohan, Deputy Commander of the US Army Department, in an interview with Breaking Defense, noted that they actively consider the management where to store ammunition and weapons in the north and in the Arctic region.
Regarding the future location of new warehouses in Europe, Mohan did not provide specific information. However, the publication refers to Mohan's words that Norway is one of the possible places, as well as the interest in this issue is shown by Sweden and Finland.
The US Army has six large warehouses of army pre -reserves (APS) in Europe. Two of them are located in Germany, one in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland. There is also an arsenal in Italy that supports US operations in Africa.
