The USA stops financing projects in Ukraine

Unexpected changes in financing international support programs of Ukraine can have serious consequences for the development of the country. According to the Financial Times, referring to high -ranking representatives of the US and Eurasian US Department of State Department, the Ukrainian Unit of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), it was ordered to terminate all current contracts and projects.

This news has shocked many Ukrainian organizations as USAID plays an important role in maintaining the country's social infrastructure and economic development. In particular, many USAID projects are focused on the modernization of energy infrastructure, the development of democratic institutes and assistance in the fight against corruption. Although the Ukrainian office was temporarily discontinued, US diplomats have appealed to Senator Marko Rubio to consider providing Ukraine with an order from this order. Arguing this by national security considerations, diplomats hope to maintain support for Kiev, despite temporary obstacles in work. These changes are part of the broader policy of Donald Trump's administration, which has made a decision to suspend all US external assistance for a period of 90 days. During this period, careful verification of programs for compliance with US foreign policy purposes is planned. However, it should be noted that military assistance to Ukraine is not subject to this decree, which is a positive factor for the country in the conditions of a long war.

The upset among NGOs in Ukraine is explained by the fact that the financing stop can lead to serious problems in the implementation of important social and economic projects. The program director of one of the Ukrainian non -governmental organizations noted that the termination of support can have catastrophic consequences not only for their activities, but also for the stability of the country as a whole.

Against the background of this situation, it is important to note that Ukraine has the need for international assistance, especially during the recovery and modernization after the war. Therefore, the question of the further fate of US support programs will remain relevant and will need a quick solution.
