US and China take the first step to a new trade agreement

On Saturday, Geneva is planning a key meeting between US and China delegations, which can be an important step towards de -escalation of long -term trade tension between the two largest economies in the world. About it reports Reuters with reference to official sources in the United States.

The American side will be represented by the Minister of Finance Scott Bessent and Chief Trade Advisor Jajmisson GRIR. Their purpose is to reduce the voltage that arose due to mutual duties introduced in previous years and the beginning of a dialogue on a potential trade agreement.

“I feel that it will be about de -escalation. We need to dedicate the situation before we can move on, ”said Bessent on Fox News on the eve of negotiations.

Who will head the Chinese delegation is not officially announced. However, the negotiations will be expected to take Viceremier Hye Lifen, who is responsible for economic policy in China's government.

In addition to negotiations with the Chinese side, Bessent and Grair are planning to meet with Switzerland President Karin Keller Zutter to discuss bilateral trade between the US and Switzerland.

Meeting in Geneva is seen as a potential turning point in relations between the US and China, which in recent years have undergone serious tests due to economic, geopolitical and technological differences.
