The Assistant Secretary of the United States for Europe and Eurasia, Jim O'Branin, announced the possibility of imposing sanctions against Georgia, if democracy is "undermined" in this country. This statement was made after O'braen's meeting with President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
We will remind, yesterday in the Georgian Parliament there was a final vote on the law on inaging, which has been protests in Tbilisi for several weeks.
After meeting with O'braen, Zurabishvili stated that she would veto the law, but Georgian media reports that the party of power has enough votes to overcome it.
