US Secretary Anthony Blinken demands that Israel stop additional damage to civilian populations in the Gaza sector. This was announced during a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyag.
Blinken confirmed the support of the US right of Israel to protect against terrorist attacks and stressed the need to avoid further harm to civilian population and protect infrastructure in GAZ. He expressed anxiety "too big" victims, especially among children, as a result of conflict.
The secretary called on Israel to support the efforts of the UN to restore the Gaza Sector and the new humanitarian coordinator, Sigrid Kaag, emphasizing the need to support Israel.
At the same time, the Defense Minister Joava Galant reported that Israel would strengthen his military operations in the southern Gaza before finding Hamas leaders and the release of Israeli hostages. He also noted changes in tactics in the north of Gaza and called for an increase in humanitarian assistance for civilian population in Gaza.
Far -right National Security Minister Imamar Ben Guil has opposed the US pressure, claiming that now is not the time for soft negotiations with Hamas, but time to use a large stick.
Blinken has been in the Middle East from January as part of a visit, where he negotiates with the leaders of the region, including Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. This is Blinken's fourth visit to the Middle East since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Sector.
