NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on partners to allow Ukraine to strike military targets in the Russian Federation through Western weapons. "It is time for the Allies to consider the removal of some restrictions that they have given the use of weapons that they gave Ukraine. Especially now that a large part of the fighting is taking place in Kharkiv region, near the border, the refusal of Ukraine to use this weapon against legitimate military goals in the Russian territory is very difficult."
Commenting on the offensive of the Russians in Kharkiv region, NATO head stressed that he does not expect these actions to lead to a breakthrough of Russia. "They will continue to press and gain minor positions, are ready to pay a very high price for these minor achievements," he added.
Stoltenberg also criticized European NATO members. "European allies have promised one million artillery shells. We saw nothing close to it," he said.
