Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and Detectives of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau (NABU) detained four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who received a bribe of $ 35,000 for the cancellation of property arrest. This was reported by the SAP press service.
According to the investigation, one of the intermediary judges received a bribe from a representative of a private company in order to obtain a decision to cancel the arrest of aircraft that were subject to trial. For adopting a favorable sentence for a sentence, the judge received $ 10 thousand, retaining part, and transferred the rest to the colleagues who participated in the trial.
The judges of the panel received each part of the bribe, which in total was $ 25,000. During searches in the places of residence of judges, law enforcement officers seized the funds they received as an undue benefit.
The issue of suspicious judges is currently being resolved. Qualification of a criminal offense - under Part 3 of Art. 28, Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
