Oleksandr Syrsky, commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, declared a significant increase in the efficiency of use of unmanned aerial vehicles at the front. According to him, Ukrainian defenders successfully use drones to destroy enemy equipment, live power and objects, while maintaining the lives of their military.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, published on Telegram following the monthly meeting on the development of unmanned systems.
According to the report of the unmanned forces command, in March this year, the Drones of the Armed Forces destroyed more than 77,000 enemy goals. This is 10% more than in February, which indicates the dynamic improvement of the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian army in the field of unmanned war.
Syrsky stressed that drones became an indispensable element on the battlefield. Not only do they help to accurately impress goals, they also significantly reduce the risks for Ukrainian fighters. Among the most successful areas are adjusting artillery fire, strokes on the enemy's logistics and the detection of hostile positions in real time.
Particular attention is paid to the development of unmanned near action. Systems capable of operating up to 20 kilometers are already actively used in the front line. Thanks to them, the Ukrainian units were able to increase their combat efficiency and flexibility in response to the change of tactics of the enemy.
The destruction of enemy drones was a separate direction. In March, about a thousand enemy drones of operative-tactical level were disposed of. This was achieved through the clear interaction of air defense and drones.
In order to increase the defense capability on the forefront, the introduction of modern radio electronic systems continues. Significantly increased, the number of HRCs of near action, which provide covering Ukrainian positions from the attacks of hostile drones and adjusting the artworms by the enemy.
Syrsky emphasized that Ukraine will continue to increase the potential of unmanned systems, because it is one of the key directions of modern war, which allows to preserve the most valuable thing - the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
