"This is what pain sounds like": Zelensky addressed Ukrainians on the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor

On Saturday, November 25, Ukraine honors the memory of the victims of the Holodomor, namely the tragedy that happened 90 years ago. On this important day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to the Ukrainians and the world, expressing his compassion and gratitude to those states who recognized the Holodomor by the official genocide mark.

The President's address was published on his official page in a telegram, where he expressed deep pain and respect for millions of Ukrainians, and were victims of famine. Zelensky emphasized that, despite attempts to humiliate and exterminate, the Ukrainian people did not destroy themselves and their truth.

"We thank all the states who have chosen justice officially - recognized the Holodomor with a crime against people, against Ukraine. To all who call things by their names," the President noted.

Zelensky urged the world to unite and condemn not only past crimes, but also to stop those that are happening today. He determined that Ukrainian pain is so quiet that it should be heard by the whole world. The President called for a stop of evil and atonement, emphasizing that Ukraine is standing, will not go out, will preserve itself and the truth.

In particular, in the context of the current events in the country, Zelensky pointed out that evil was not stopped and will not be redeemed, but now Ukrainians stop it. He expressed his conviction that Ukraine would withstand and retain its independence and justice. The President's address was a testament to the resistance of the Ukrainian people to the past and determination to unite the world to stop modern evil.
