Three technology giants, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and Microsoft, combine efforts to give Thailand significant investments in the amount of 300 billion babads (about $ 8.46 billion). Each of the companies will put 100 billion baht into strategic projects in the country.
AWS, in particular, has plans to build a $ 5 billion data processing center, and this project is deployed for 15 years, as stated in the official statement of Thailand's government.
Thailand Prime Minister has expressed his conviction that AWS investments would help to increase the country's competitiveness. Government representative, Vacharonke Tea, added that Microsoft and Google also investigate investment opportunities in large data processing centers in Thailand.
