China's leader Xi Jinping planned a visit to Russia in 2025. This was reported by the Russian ambassador to China, Igor Morgulov, adding that the relevant plans are already actively developed. The ambassador noted that this visit is an important bilateral measure, and he stressed that China and Russia have common interests, in particular in counteracting external pressure from the US and their allies.
Morgulov also stressed that China, who has never condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine, understands the situation well faced by both countries, as they have to deal with similar pressure from Western countries. According to the diplomat, Russia and China should respond jointly to the US policy and resist what he called a "double restraint" that the West is trying to carry out against both countries.
The visit of Xi Zinpic will be an important event in bilateral relations and will discuss a number of issues that are relevant to both states, including a common strategy in international tension.
