Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev refused to supply weapons to Ukraine and confirmed that he would not continue to make such deliveries. He stated that although there are requests for the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, Azerbaijan is not going to satisfy these requests and talk about it in public and openly.
"We do not pass to Ukraine weapons. Although we are asked for it, but we cannot talk about it in public, openly. We will not do it. Weapons - no, humanitarian aid - yes," said Azerbaijan President.
He noted that Baku participated in the restoration of Irpen, provided financial and humanitarian aid for more than 30 million euros.
Aliyev added that no one knows what the war in Ukraine will end, but it will doubt that it will cease immediately after the peace agreement is signed, comparing the situation with the signing of the truce agreement in Nagorno Karabas in May 1994.
"Something similar can happen between Russia and Ukraine if they agree to stop the active phase of the war. But this does not guarantee the onset of the end of the war," Aliyev said.
He believes that "Ukraine's chance to build a strong state was lost" in 2000, and wars could be avoided.
We will remind that earlier on the network got pictures for the production of 122 mm shells for Ukraine with the logo of the Azerbaijani defense company Palladium. Baku then also denied the production of weapons for Ukraine.
