The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on a roaming-free zone with the European Union

In the second reading, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Bill No. 10265 on the creation of a single roaming zone with the European Union.

This news was announced by Alexei Goncharenko, a MP from the European Solidarity faction, through his channel on Telegram.

According to him, now Ukrainians traveling by the EU countries will be able to use their national mobile tariffs without paying additional funds for roaming services.

Bill No. 10265 was adopted in the first reading in February this year. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation's explanations, Ukrainians can now use mobile communication in European countries at no additional expenses for four months. This rule also extends to Europeans who visit Ukraine.

This decision was made possible by the agreement concluded between the European Commission and Communication Operators. The Agreement, which was concluded in April 2022, provides for a mutual reduction in roaming tariffs, as well as approval of its term for another 12 months in July 2023.
