The new generation of Toyota RAV4, one of the most successful models of the Japanese carmaker, is already in the final stage of development. It is expected that the sixth generation of a popular crossover will see the world in early 2026, and will become even more modern, technological and - for the first time - exceptionally hybrid.
Recently, the Australian edition of Drive has published renders of the new RAV4, created on the basis of spy photos. According to them, Toyota designers focused on the restyling of the front of the body and feed, leaving the sides without significant changes. On renders you can see: C-shaped LED-shaded lights that harmoniously frame the main optics, the updated radiator grille, integrated into the bumper and painted in the body color, a new hood with more embossed lines, upgraded rear lights. The new RAV4 will be exclusively hybrid SUV. It will be preserved on the current TNGA-K platform, which has already proven itself in the market and will receive an updated plugin-hybrid system with the possibility of charging from the socket. In particular, the RAV4 Prime version is expected, which already has an electrical margin of up to 67 km. In the new generation, this figure is planned to increase significantly, which will make the model even more attractive to urban use without harming ecology.
According to insiders, the development of RAV4 of the sixth generation will be completed by the end of 2025, and it will be released in early 2026. Given stable sales - more than 1 million cars in 2023 - RAV4 updates will be one of the main premieres of Toyota in recent years.
