Former US President Donald Trump began to actively increase his chances of returning to the White House, while Vice president of Kamala Harris lost much of her advantage over him. About it reports The Hill.
Although Harris has a chance to become the next US President, her advantage, which she gained after the successful launch of the campaign, including a powerful speech at the National Democratic Party Congress and Debat against Trump, has almost completely disappeared.
According to the survey, to order The Hill, as of Friday, Trump is leading in five of seven "shaky" states that are key to winning. In early October, Harris had an advantage of four of these seven states.
The general estimates of the chances of Kamala Harris are currently 51%, although at the end of September this figure was at 56%. However, the publication notes that changes in the ratings do not necessarily mean a real decline in the chances of Democrats to win, since the gap between the candidates was small from the beginning.
"Changes by one or two percent can be a statistical noise, not a testimony of the real movement," the publication emphasizes.
Earlier it was reported that according to the results of the Reuters/IPSOS survey, Kamala Harris had a three percent over Trump - 46% against 43%.
