Trump has announced an agreement with Ukraine on rare earth metals

US President Donald Trump has announced its intention to enter into an important agreement with Kiev on rare earth metals. He made the corresponding announcement on March 20, CNN reports.

Speaking to journalists, Trump stated that he had signed a decree on a significant increase in the production of important minerals and rare earth metals in America, emphasizing their critical sense for the country. However, at the same time, he mentioned the need for cooperation with Ukraine to strengthen this direction.

"One of the things we do is to sign an agreement with Ukraine on rare earth elements very quickly," Trump said, emphasizing the importance of this agreement for the US.

The American leader also spoke about the telephone conversations he spent with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, all parties seek peace.

"We talked to, as you know, President Putin and President Zelensky yesterday, and we would like an end to be put to this," Trump said. He expressed optimism on the progress in negotiations and the possibility of achieving a peace agreement.

"I think we are doing well in this regard. I believe we will do it. Let's see what happens," the US President added.

It is worth noting that the point of access of international partners to minerals of Ukraine was included in the Victory Plan of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. It is expected that the US Agreement on Liquid Earth will become part of a broader strategy for economic cooperation between the two countries.
