At the same time, he expressed his desire that the United States has a significant share in a Chinese company that has an application, which would be a condition for unblocking the service.
In his post on the Truth Social Social Platform, Trump noted that his purpose is to conclude an agreement that will ensure US national security. He believes that the country should receive 50% of TikTok's property, which, in his opinion, will not only save the application in the US market, but also significantly increase its value. According to Trump, with such a TikTok agreement can raise its value to hundreds of billion dollars, and possibly up to trillions. "Without the consent of the US TikTok will not. With our consent, it will rise in the price of hundreds of billions, and maybe trillion dollars," Trump wrote. He also expressed the idea of creating a joint company with current TikTok owners and new investors.
This solution is becoming part of Trump's greater strategy aimed at ensuring US national security, in particular in the context of threats related to Chinese influence through technological companies. The US Congress Act gives the administration extensive powers to ban Chinese applications in the US market, which gives Trump not only to keep TikTok blocking, but also to strengthen control over foreign technology.
