Trump appointed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health

Donald Trump has announced his decision to appoint Robert Kennedy Jr. as Minister of Health and Social Services. According to Trump, the new minister has an ambitious mission - to put an end to the epidemic of chronic diseases that have become a heavy burden for the country and make America "big and healthy again."

"Americans have suffered for too long from the industrial food complex and pharmaceutical companies that use misinformation and manipulation," Trump emphasized. In his opinion, Kennedy Jr. will be a turning point in the restoration of transparency, objective scientific research and protecting the health of the nation.

In his speech, Trump also emphasized the tasks of the department that Kennedy will now be governed. The main priorities will be protection against harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, potentially dangerous pharmaceutical products and food additives. The administration believes that such measures will help to overcome the serious health crisis that the country is experiencing.

The appointment of Robert Kennedy, Jr., has caused considerable resonance because of his long vaccination criticism. Since 2005, he has opposed vaccinations, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he has become a popular voice of anti-vaccine. Due to sharp statements about vaccines, his position even caused differences with family members: in 2021, his sister, Kerry Kennedy, called it "very dangerous."

The incident gained a serious scale when Facebook and Instagram in 2022 deleted Children's Health Defense accounts, Kennedy -based groups, through the spread of medical misinformation. In 2023, Kennedy made several statements that vaccines allegedly cause autism and compared them with Nazi crimes, which further increased the criticism of his views.
