The Turkish Football Club of Trabzonspor has officially resigned head coach Shenola Gunesh. The club's management decided to terminate the contract with a specialist ahead of time due to unsatisfactory results of the team in the national championship.
At this point, Trabzonspora is ranked 10th in the Turkish Championship standings, scoring only 32 points. Gunesh, who started training the team in September 2024, leaves the club for the fifth time for his coaching career.
It is worth noting that two football players of the national team of Ukraine - Alexander Zubkov and Danylo Sikan, as well as a young player of the Ukrainian youth national team Arseniy Batagov - are composed of Trabzonpore.
It is not currently reported who will become the successor of Senola Gunesh as a head coach, but the club is actively looking for a new mentor capable of bringing the team to a higher level and improving its tournament.
