After the meeting with Macron, Tusk made several statements

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Warsaw stated that they had a common position on all key issues. At a briefing, after the conversation, Tusk stressed that the topics of European security, competitiveness of Europe, bilateral relations, situations in Ukraine and ways of achieving a just peace were discussed.

"All these topics have shown that we are one team ... in matters of European security and just peace for Ukraine on one side," Tusk said.

The Prime Minister also touched on media speculation on a possible European peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. He categorically denied Poland's plans to participate in such actions at this stage. "Decisions on Polish actions will be made in Warsaw and only in Warsaw. So far we do not plan such actions," Tusk emphasized.

French President Emmanuel Macron, in turn, stated that Ukraine should resolve issues concerning its security. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of giving Kyiv proper security guarantees. "Strong security in Ukraine is a strong safety in Europe," Macron emphasized.

The meeting of the two leaders once again testified to the unity of positions of Poland and France in matters of European security and support of Ukraine on the way of reaching peace.
