In 2024, Ukraine may launch a new counteroffensive with support from the United States of America. This was announced by an official from the administration of US President Joe Biden at a security forum in Aspen.
According to him, the USA and its allies plan to provide support to Ukraine to conduct negotiations with Russia on terms favorable to it. The goal is that by the end of next year, Ukraine will be able to conduct negotiations that will force Russia to choose between acceptable terms for Ukraine and the possibility of facing a stronger country.
First Deputy Assistant to the US President for National Security Jonathan Feiner emphasized that the development of Ukraine is based on the support of the powerful industrial base of the US and Europe, as well as Ukraine itself. The U.S. is helping Ukraine develop its defense industry, and cooperation includes the production of air defense systems, repair and maintenance, and the production of critical munitions.
It is also planned to send an adviser to Kyiv to support Ukraine's transition to joint armed forces, fight corruption, and attract foreign investment in key industries. An interdepartmental "team on deals with Ukraine" has been created, which will advise partners on potential deals and export requirements for the Ukrainian defense industry.
