Meetings between representatives of Ukraine, France and the United Kingdom on the possible placement of a foreign military contingent have started in the capital of Ukraine. About it reports public with reference to diplomatic sources.
According to journalists, discussions take place at the level of military headquarters. The French delegation is headed by General Tierry Burkhardt, and British is the Admiral Anthony Radakin.
During the day, they will hold several meetings with Ukrainian military officials, as well as a planned meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky.
The main issue of negotiations is the ability to place a military contingent of France and the United Kingdom in Ukraine.
Earlier, a number of European countries discussed variants of expanded military assistance to Ukraine, including the possibility of placing instructors and technical specialists to strengthen the defense capability of the Armed Forces.
Negotiation details remain confidential, but this meeting can be an important step in strengthening a military partnership between Ukraine and Western allies.
