In Jiangs, a team of researchers from Southeast University created the first in China, an integrated ground-air electric car called Southeast University Kunpeng no.1. This development was presented as a breakthrough in the field of mobility, combining the possibilities of movement on both roads and in the air.
Unlike traditional aerotaxes with vertical take -off and planting, the novelty is designed for universal use. The flying electric car is equipped with four cohabitant screws that provide it with the ability to rise into the air while remaining at the same time a full -fledged terrestrial vehicle.
The electric car has a maximum run weight of 500 kg and is able to be in flight at least 20 minutes, reaching a height of more than 300 meters. On the roads of Kunpeng NO.1 can develop speeds up to 60 km/h. A high capacity battery is used to power, which provides stable operation in both flight and when moving on the ground.
Scientists do not stop there: studies are already conducted to increase the duration of flight. In the future, it is planned to create models with a flight duration of more than two hours, which will open up new opportunities for the use of such vehicles.
Presentation of Southeast University Kunpendg No.1 is an important step for the development of future transport in China. It demonstrates the ambitions of the country in innovation and confirms the desire to create solutions that change the idea of mobility.
