According to Politico, former US President Donald Trump, in the event of a return to the White House, is intended to propose an agreement to the Russian Federation, which can significantly change the geopolitical landscape of modern Europe.
According to the sources of publication related to the national security circle of the ex-president, Trump plans to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin about what part of Ukraine the Russian Federation will leave for himself.
In case of return to the White House, Donald Trump wants to offer Putin an agreement under which NATO undertakes not to take Ukraine and Georgia to the Alliance. They will also negotiate what part of the occupied territory of Ukraine Russia can save. Two national security experts from the US Expedition Environment have told this to the publication.
Another idea of Trump is a two-tier NATO system, whereby the member states of the Alliance, which spend less than 2% of GDP, will not be protected by the US.
In this case, the United States will store a "nuclear umbrella" over Europe and keep aviation and naval forces on European bases. At the same time, infantry, armored vehicles, artillery and logistics will go into the area of responsibility of European countries.
