In the EU, the launch of the payment system for entering the territory of the community has been postponed

Entry in Europe remains free of charge: the launch of the EU EU payment system in the EU is postponed by May 2025.

After the ETIA program is introduced to enter 30 countries of the Schengen European Zone, citizens with a visa -free regime will need special permission. ETIA resolution will be associated with a foreign passport and will be valid for three years or until the passport. Upon receipt of a new passport, you will need to issue a new permit.

ETIA is obligatory for citizens of Ukraine and other countries with visa -free entry. They will have to be registered in the special system and, in most cases, to pay the appropriate fee every three years.

The entrance system will be automated for non-EU countries and is obligatory before traveling to the European Union. ETIAs involves scanning the traveler's passport and online application, as well as paying 7 euros. After approval of the permit, which has been in force for three years, it will be related to the person's passport.

Innovation does not apply to legal residents or those who have long -term visas.

ETIAs will be applied at all EU countries, except for Cyprus and Ireland, as well as to four Schengen countries that are not EU members: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland.

The introduction of ETIAs has been postponed several times for technical reasons, and now some of the options are planned to be launched in 2024, and completely in 2025.
