During his first week, Hungary's presidency in the European Union announced the intention to hold initiatives aimed at strengthening peace and stability, in particular in relations with Ukraine.
The head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peter Siarto, made this claim, publishing on social networks a message about the beginning of Hungary's presidency in the EU, which he described as a "mission of peace" for the next six months.
"Sunday, the first week of the Hungarian chairmanship and the government's meeting at the same time. Now everyone can be sure that the next six months will be a mission of peace in order to finally provide peace in our region. The mission of peace is ongoing and even becomes stronger, so I ask for European politicians.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Orban announced a "surprise" on Monday.
