The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Siyarto, stated that Hungary's support was supported by China in February 2023, regarding the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. This announcement took place after the minister's negotiations with Chinese colleague Van Ї in Beijing.
The meeting lasted for more than three hours, the parties discussed bilateral economic cooperation and international problems, including the situation in Ukraine, said the head of Hungarian diplomacy.
"We support the Chinese peace plan simply because it exists," Siarto said.
He added that Budapest and Beijing would take joint action to ensure that peace organizations are on the agenda of international organizations.
"First of all, to ensure that international organizations are not politicized, not to divide the world into blocks," the minister said.
Siyarto also called for those who advocate for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, to speak louder because the voices of advocates of hostilities remain extremely loud. "
