Ukraine is preparing for the rotation of the fighters in the conflict zone, and it is planned to replace them with completed and mechanized brigades. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared it during a conference with the President of the European Parliament Robert Matzola, which took place on May 9 in Kiev. According to him, the successful implementation of this initiative requires an increase in weapons from partners.
According to the President, there is a plan of rotation aimed at removing the fighters for vacation and replacing them with new forces. Zelensky emphasized the importance of new crews not only strong but mechanized.
Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Dzhigir said that the cost of mobilization work will depend on several factors, in particular, monthly conscription, receipt of assistance and rotation decisions. He also noted that the cost of maintaining one soldier without weapons is UAH 1.2 million.
